This Saturday’s Family Fun Day offers time for family bonding

Hey kids, we heard you love your mom and grandma a lot! To celebrate Mother’s Day, why not take your very special mom and grandma on a date to the free Family Fun Day this Saturday, May 12 from 2-4 p.m.?

All of you will have an awesome time doing so many fun things together. You can play games, make handprints, paint and plant flower pots, and take a family photo. Your mom and grandma will treasure the memories for years. Besides all this, you can get your faces painted and eat yummy snacks.

Bring the babies, brothers, sisters, dad and grandparents to Family Fun Day at the County Extension Office at 317 N Custer (next to the Hardin Senior Citizens Center). See you and your date there!

Family Fun Day is an event designed by Big Horn County (BHC) Breastfeeding Support Network to promote good parenting through good nutrition and healthy living activities. This year’s Family Fun Day is a Mother’s Day event in collaboration with WIC (Women, Infants and Children program), BHC Public Health, BHC Extension Office, Parents as Teachers Program, Big Horn Hospital Association and Bighorn Valley Health Center to bring a fun-filled two hours to the community to celebrate the mothers and grandmothers who are so important to the success of our community.

As a special treat, we will be bringing in a few life-size, stand-alone photos of real women modestly breastfeeding their babies. These are on loan to us from the Billings Breastfeeding Coalition. The goal in using these photos is to help normalize the optimum nutrition for babies from birth through age one.
