Norma Jean Hill

Beloved mother and grandmother, Norma Jean Hill, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday September 5, 2022, at the age of 75. She was born on November 2, 1946, in Carson, North Dakota, the daughter of David Schmiess and Ada (Hochhalter) Schmiess. She had two cherished siblings, Merle Schmiess and Elaine (Schmiess) Arndt who preceded her in death.

At the age of 9 she moved with her family to Hardin, Montana. On November 2, 1963, she married William D. Hill. The couple had two children, Lisa (Hill) Willhardt and Ledale Hill. Norma worked for 18 years at Big Horn County Memorial Hospital before retiring to devote her time and energy to her family.

Norma was a fervent animal lover who brought love and companionship to many treasured pets over her lifetime. She was steadfast in her faith and was always able to find guidance and comfort from God. Her other passions included gardening, spending time watching the birds and squirrels from her porch, and above all taking care of her family.

She is survived by her children, Lisa (Shavie Chavez) Willhardt and Ledale (Jolinda) Hill; her grandchildren Jason (Kelli) Willhardt, Geoffry (Miranda) Willhardt, Renee Hill, and Chanel Hill; as well as her great grandchildren Aiden, Ireland, and Aspen Hill and Hunter Willhardt.

A memorial service was held Saturday September 10, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at Bullis Funeral Chapel. Bullis Mortuary has been entrusted with the arrangements.
