The Lodge Grass Indians are headed to the big dance after they swept the Southern B divisional tournament in Billings last week with wins against Columbus, Manhattan and Three Forks.

Thursday the Indians faced Big Timber. It was the Indians ball game. Big Timber made a couple good runs in the second and third quarters, but in the end the Lodge Grass squad was the better team, executing defensive traps and making shots count.

During the semi final on March 6 against Manhattan Christian, the Indians jumped ahead early. Manhattan made a good run in the second quarter, coming within 3 points of the Indians.

The Indians kept their composure and finished the second half strong, earning their spot at the championship game on Saturday

Lodge Grass met Three Forks, the Indians had no trouble at all, leading all four quarters by healthy margins.

The Indians play Shelby in the first game of the state tournament at the Butte Civic Center in Butte today at noon. Adult all session passes are $41, student all session passes $25.
