Jane Aleta Davisson

Jane Aleta Davisson 76 from Homer Alaska passed away at home following a long illness. Born in Hardin May 3, 1946 to Finley and Ruby Mocabee she grew up in Ronan where she graduated in 1964. She met and married her soulmate Bob after a very short courtship, making their home in Hardin and then settling in Fort Smith.

Jane worked small jobs in the community but raising her three kids were her priority as well as being the neighborhood mother always having to do 'head count' in the-mornings before making breakfast. She loved cooking, baking and sewing taking her talent and running a successful lunch and shuttle business for the Big Horn Angler and other Fly shops. This provided many nieces and nephews summer jobs. She was in Rainbow and Eastern Star, as well as leading Brownies/Girl Scouts and 4-H.

Her family was her most prized accomplishment raising her kids as well as being very active in with her Grandkids and Great Grandkids. In 2001 after her husband retired they moved to Homer Alaska building their retirement home. She loved working in the gardens and watching the animals roaming in her yard daily.

She loved having the newest generation around as it kept her 'alive' and busy and they will treasure 'Grandma Great' and all she taught them, she had her little buddy Robin keeping her on her toes the couple years. We will forever be touched by her selfless and humble outlook on life but her love will always be felt and missed, with many namesakes carrying her name.

Mom wanted no fussing over her but she deserves her life to be celebrated as she was never flamboyant or flashy, but humble and loving always.

She is preceded in death by her husband Bob, Parents, siblings, and her Great Granddaughter Bryton. She is survived by her children Rhett ( April) Hardin, Dale (Felecia) Ft Smith, Wanda (Mark) North Pole Alaska, Grandkids, and Great Grandkids, sister Marty (Bill), Brother Richard (Emily), Brother in Law Juell, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Service will be held in October 16, 2022 at 1:30 with interment of ashes at Fort Smith Baptist Church.
