Hardin Public Schools released new guidelines that allow limited spectators at Hardin Middle and High School athletic events.

In a letter to parents Johnson, “In seeking to strike a balance between the parents desire to attend home sporting events and the Districts responsibility to take every measure possible to ensure student, staff and spectator safety, we can agree that the foremost priority should be the opportunity for students to compete in a manner that is as safe for all involved.”

The letter continued, “Participants in this effort also realize that the desire to have large crowds at sporting events is understandable, but also brings significant public health risk that could cause disease spread and imperil other school operations.”

Football and volleyball players and fans must adhere to the following policies:
• Hardin High School football and volleyball players will each receive two home activity admittance tickets to distribute to family members of their choice. Tickets and admission fees must be presented to the ticket taker before you will be allowed to enter. No other tickets will be given for any extenuating circumstances. No exceptions will be made as to ensure consistency and safety. No Ticket - No Entry. This will be strictly adhered to.
• All players, coaches, team personnel, game officials and essential workers will adhere to Montana High School Association sport specific directives for each event.
• Parents and fans are encouraged to watch on the NFHS network at (www. nfhsnetwork.com); the information for registering an account and accessing the network will be posted on our website.
• Masks are required for all spectators whenever they are out of their seat (entering, exiting, using restrooms, etc.) or when social distance cannot be maintained while sitting in the stands.
