Graidon Herbel

Graidon “Grady” Otto Herbel passed away peacefully on Friday, Oct. 1, 2021 at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City.

Graidon was born Nov. 1, 2004 to Barry and Adrienne Herbel in Crow Agency, Montana. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Graidon loved God, his family and friends, the US Flag, all animals — except spiders and wasps — and he loved teaching people.

Grady, which means noble and strong, was a fantastic athlete, much like his dad and grandpa he never met a stranger, and loved all things outdoors. His four favs were his family, friends, country music and loud, fast pickup trucks. He was listening to Cowpolk by Eddie Arnold on his way to haul cows earlier Sunday morning, which fit him so well.

He is survived by his parent, Barry and Adrienne, of Hardin; brother, Gidion Herbel; grandparents, Mickey (Frank) Unverzagt, and Jim and Ethyl Herbel, of Hardin; his uncle, Sean Small; aunts, Noelle (Randy) Steven St. John, Cindy (Thom) Felton, Lorie Herbel, Krista (Chris) Blomquist; and cousins, Emma, Megan, Natalie, Tristan and Teigan, who will miss him terribly. Typical of Graidon, even in the end, he was kind and generous and donating his organs to save others.

“Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for The Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

His honorary pallbearers are all his family and friends.

Rest in Peace Grady.
