Frances DeLeon Castro Miller, 66, of Garryowen passed away peacefully on Feb. 14, 2018 surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on May 10, 1951 in Powell, Wyo. to Felix Soto Castro Sr. and Andrea DeLeon Castro, the oldest of four children. The family lived in Texas for a time and then she moved to Montana with her father at a young age.

On Feb. 6, 1976, Frances married Grant Truman Miller in Garryowen. For 42-plus blessed, loving years of marriage, they ran their ranch and raised three children. Frances’ biggest passion was taking care of her family. She enjoyed cooking, taking family trips and helping on the farm. Anyone who met her knew the wonderful and giving person she was. To know her was to love her.

Her father and younger brother Antonio Castro preceded her in death.

Frances is survived by her husband Grant Miller, a daughter Felicia Castro of Billings, two sons Steve Miller of Garryowen and Michael Miller, daughter-inlaw Josephine Lotts-Miller of Billings, her mother Andrea Castro, her sister Ofelia Castro Saenz and brother Felix Castro Jr. of George West, Tex., a half-sister Paula Castro-Stops, and a half-brother Felix Castro Jr. from Lame Deer, plus multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

As per Frances’ request, no services or burial will be held. Bullis Mortuary has been entrusted with the arrangements.
