June married Jacqueline Lee Newell on January 10, 1951. June worked on ranches in Big Horn County and construction and at Holly Sugar Factory until he and Jackie bought a ranch on Tullock Creek in 1956. He was a life-long cowboy, cattleman, family man and good neighbor his entire life. He was on the county Conservation District and FSA County Committee. June was invited to be a Horse Wrangler during the Centennial Cattle Drive of 1989. June and his brothers Rich and Don received the Montana Pro Rodeo Hall and Wall of Fame Award for Rodeo Families. June served as a local brand inspector for the State of Montana for 40 plus years.

June and Jackie had three children: Billie, Sam and Cleve. They also shared their home with Johnny Simms; June’s brother Jerry and his sister Patty; the Edwards brothers Bruce, John, Speed and Tom; Jerry Redding’s son Scott Redding; and Jackie’s nephews Dean Newell and Mike Stevenson.
