Christina Haman Stieber

Christina Haman Stieber passed away Sunday, Feb. 24, 2019 at Big Horn County Memorial Hospital. Christina was born Dec. 25, 1931 in Fromberg, Montana to Valentine Sr. and Leah Keiser Haman. She received her education in the Fromberg-Bridger area.

The family moved to Billings, where she met Henry Stieber Jr. They were married on Dec. 3, 1950 and farmed west of Billings. In February 1967, they moved to a farm North of Hardin with their four children. Together, they raised sugar beets, corn, hay, grain, beans and fed cattle. In 1997, Henry and Christina moved into Hardin. Henry passed away Feb. 4, 2003.

Christina enjoyed gardening and making Greble and Kraut Birrok (cabbage rolls) for her grandkids. She was a member of Christ Evangelical and Reformed Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Henry, sister Leah Wegner and brothers Valentine Jr. and Roger Haman.

She is survived by her children Mark (Judy), Marlene Burroughs (Joe), and Paul and Stanley (Julie) of Hardin; grandchildren Cody Burroughs, Amy Keyes (Ryan), Lindsey Burroughs (Robert Loera), Colton and Trevor Stieber, Christian Torralba (Jasmine), Bailey Torralba, Deanna, Laura and Katie Stieber; greatgrandchildren Annie, Wyatt and Kaycee Keyes, Jaelynn, Jade D and Jacey Loera, and Skylar Watson; brothers Robert and James Haman; sisters Shirley Reiter and Peggy Miller; along with many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff of Heritage Acres for their loving care. Also, Dr. Quanbeck, Big Horn County Memorial Hospital and swing bed staff.

Funeral Services were held March 1, 2019 at Christ E&R Church in Hardin. Burial followed at the Fairview Cemetery. Bullis Mortuary handled the arrangements.
