Like many people throughout the world, I attended an Easter Sunday service. When I asked my little brother if he had attended divine worship to celebrate Easter, he said, "No, not today. People only go to church a couple of times a year, Christmas and Easter." I wasn't sure if he was trying to convict me or just make a well-known statement, one I've often made myself. Of course, any professing Christian would know that Easter celebrates the resurrection of Christ. However, I've often wondered why the date changes from year to year and does not have a solid date, like Juneteenth, which is celebrated on June 19, a holiday that a lot of Bad War Deeds kids celebrate. The answer is that Easter follows the Vernal Equinox, which is the Spring Equinox, and the date is determined by one of the moon's phases.
