The Crow Indian boys and girls of the Black Lodge district will have a Christmas party of their own, through donations of a group of Hardin merchants. Five Crow men from the district formed a committee to collect funds for a treat for the boys and girls. They are Bill Lodge Pole, Amos Sees Ground, Victor Three Irons, Claude Sawes, Samuel Not Afraid and Frank Wolf. Contributing were J. A. Putnam, Coast to Coast stores, Marshall-Wells store, Mike Kuchera, Ray Catron, Federated store, Gambles, Sawyers Stores, Inc., Campbell Farming corporation, Karl Johnson and Company, Hardin Meat Market, Hardin Hardware, W. G. Woodward company, Hardin Tribune Herald and Hardin furniture exchange. Total gifts included 20 pounds of candy and $54.50 in cash.
