MEETINGS AND SPECIAL EVENTS
 
Friday, Sept. 22 – Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) will be hosting its Native American Heritage Day at Chief Plenty Coups State Park in Pryor from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Native American Heritage Day is an all-day event complete with a parade, powwow, traditional games and a free lunch. 
 
Saturday, Sept. 23 and Sunday, Sept. 24 – Spay Montana is a free spay and neuter clinic on the Crow Reservation for cats and dogs open to Crow tribal members and those living on the Crow Reservation. Appointments can be made by calling (406) 679-3715.
 
Wednesday, Sept. 27 – Montana State University Extension’s Solid Finances webinars will be starting Wednesday, Sept. 27. To find out more information about the Solid Finances series, call the MSU Big Horn County Extension Office at 665-9770 or go to www.msuextension.org/solidfinances.
 
Saturday, Sept. 30 – Help remove invasive weeds, clean up the trail and improve the park land to enhance the health and beauty of Chief Plenty Coups State Park in Pryor from 9 a.m. to noon. Bring a water bottle, sunscreen, insect repellant and dress appropriately for the weather. For more information, call (406) 252-1289.
 
Wednesday, Oct. 4 – MSU Pesticide Education Program will be stopping in Hardin at 8:45 a.m. at the Big Horn County Fairgrounds to offer training in pesticide applicators. For more information, contact Molly Hammond at (406) 665-9770 or molly.hammond@montana.edu.
 
Thursday, Oct. 19 – Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks will hold an archery instructor certification class in Hardin for physical education teachers, after-school instructors and adult coaches. MONDAYS
• Hardin AA meets at 8 p.m. at 619 Division. For more information, call 679-0681 (Monday, Wednesday and Friday).
•The Two Rivers Authority meets at 5:30 p.m. at the Two Rivers Detention Facility in Hardin (1st Monday).
• Pryor Al Anon Family Group meets at 7 p.m. at the St. Charles Mission multi-purpose room.
• The Historical Preservation Commission meets at noon. For more information, call 665-2137 (2nd Monday).
• Welcoming Comfort Al-Anon lunch bunch at 12, noon at 310 N. Center Ave. Upstairs, Alateens are welcome.
 
TUESDAYS
• The Helping Hands Food Bank is open from noon to 4 p.m. for emergency food services (Tuesday and Thursday). The flavor of the month for September is canned chicken noodle soup.
• Al-Anon Experience Strength and Hope group meets at 7 p.m. at 619 Division. Alateens are welcome.
• Hardin City Council meets at 7:30 p.m. at the Public Utility Facility across from City Hall (1st and 3rd Tuesday).
• All City Committees are scheduled to meet at 6:30 p.m. every 3rd Tuesday of each month, at the Public Utility Facility (across from the City Offices at 406 N Cheyenne Ave.).
• Jasmine Chapter #65 of Eastern Star meets 7 p.m. at the Masonic Hall (2nd and 4th Tuesday).
• Chamber of Commerce meets 12, noon at Bighorn BBQ Boys (second Tuesday).
• Weight Watchers: Bullis Family Center at 524 N Cheyenne Ave. Weigh-in, 5 p.m., meeting, 5:30 to 6 p.m.

• BHC Library Story Hour at 10:30 a.m. Crafts included; children must be accompanied by an adult.
• Kiwanis meets at noon at Three Brother’s Bistro in the back roomw. All visitors are welcome.

• Hardin’s Rod and Gun Club meets at 3 Bros Bistro at 6:30 p.m. (2nd Wednesday).

• The Hardin Hope for Today Al-Anon group will be meeting at 7 p.m. at 323 N. Crawford Ave. This group includes literature study. Alateens are welcome.
